My sweetie and I went to the National World War I Museum at the Liberty Memorial. We finished the day with a trip to the top of the tower. It was chilly, but worth it.

I went last spring with Roger, Hooter and David Moreno. It was a wonderful museum even if I had to occasionally sit diown and weep a bit over the topic of all the boys killed.
That is a great photo of the two of you, too!

November 10, 2008 at 1:37pmPlan to make it a full day. We spent over 4 hours there…and we didn’t linger too long in any one place…. After all that time on my feet, the last 45 steps to the top of the tower were really, really hard on my knees.

November 10, 2008 at 1:46pmI’d heard it was an all-day adventure. We’ll see how much the other half can take. We’ll see how I can take! I don’t see us climbing that tower. I’m too acrophobic, and I doubt would want to essay all those steps (there USED to be an elevator).
