It’s the first day of the new year, and I spent it watching something delightfully old. A group of friends and I saw a restored version of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” today. One of the first science fiction films ever made, it’s legacy and influence can be seen in films today. If you haven’t seen it, your education is not complete.

I also continued the search for the perfect interview outfit. Although I bought something that will pass in a pinch, it’s still not the perfect outfit. Too much polyester. I’d really like to find a nice natural fiber. Am I asking too much? Tomorrow, I head back into the trenches, er, mall.
