My first Remicade treatment yesterday went VERY well, and this morning I’m feeling positive results — despite the sub-freezing temperatures and the sub-zero windchill here these past few days. It was smooth sailing all the way. It took three tries for the IV nurse to find a good vein (my fault, not hers), and then all systems were go!
I swear, I think I felt results almost immediately. Leaving the doc’s office, I was less stiff than I should have been after sitting for three hours. My feet hurt less than they did earlier in the day. And I was able to turn my head to the left without turning my entire upper body. (You know, the movement you make when you check behind you before backing out of a parking space.)
This morning, I got down the stairs without clinging to the rail for dear life. I am still a little stiff, but not nearly as bad as it has been. I could get use to this.

Thanks, Jeaner! It’s good to hear from you. I go back for a second dose in 2 weeks, a third dose 4 weeks after that, then I’m on an 8 week schedule indefinitely. It feels good to feel better.
