My absence: I haven’t posted for a while. Too much going on in my life, compounded by late winter blahs and fatigue from an arthritis flare. I’ve accomplished very little in the past several months. But it feels like spring might actually arrive soon. I do read my friends page every day, even when I don’t post in my own LJ.
Firefox News: I just posted another NCIS review at FireFox news. As always, I’m a couple episodes behind but trying diligently to catch up.
Conventions: I will be attending the following cons this year:
– Conestoga – Tulsa – April 24-26
– ConQuesT – Kansas City – May 22-24
– SoonerCon – Oklahoma City – June 5-7
– Archon – St. Louis / Collinsville IL – October 2-4
I plan to have art in each of the art shows, and I hope to have panel assignments.
Facebook: I’ve been spending time on Facebook, as that’s where my sisters and cousins are. I originally joined FB for that reason. Now I’m getting friends requests from people I don’t remember from high school, people I only sort-of know professionally, people I’ve met once or twice through fandom, people I’ve never met, and people who just don’t need to know that much detail about my personal life. I’ve been exploring the Facebook filtering and privacy options, so if you’ve requested friendship I haven’t granted it yet, bear with me while I sort through the whole “what is public and what is private” dilemma. I pretty much control what I post on LJ and consider it “public”, but I don’t have control of what my family posts, and I’m not yet comfortable with the idea that the childhood photos and stories they are sharing are something I want available to fandom and non-family friends.
