Detour … spent the evening in the St. Luke’s ER… that hot flaming poker I feel drilling into my back is apparently an inflamed rib. Joy. At least it’s not the kidney, as I feared. I’ve got a little bottle of vicodin, and an Rx for percoset standing by if the first narcotic doesn’t do the job. The docs kept wanting to Rx a muscle relaxant and an anti-inflammatory to go with it, but those are already part of my daily meds. Fun. Fun. Fun. Not. And of course, I’m not supposed to DRIVE while taking the pain meds, so tomorrow’s 5-hour drive to OKC is gonna be a b*tch…
Now that I’m home and a little loopy, I’ve got to pack for the weekend, decide what art I’m taking to Soonercon, and fill out the bidsheets and control sheets. (Carbon forms. I HATE carbon forms…)

have a fairly serious itinerary tomorrow and over the weekend (keeping track of how Rohanna is doing) i’d offer to come with you.
But I can’t. Take care of yourself. Let me know if you come home early so I don’t frighten you if I come into the house….
Gentle hugs across the e-ways.

Thanks. It will all work itself out eventually. Hang in there, and hugs to the family. I’ll leave an extra portion of kibble out for the Twins, just in case you can’t get away. Sounds like you’ll have your hands full.

June 6, 2008 at 5:39amThanks. Not sure what caused this flare, but it’s just another “joy” of having psoriatic arthritis… if it can be inflammed, it probably will be at some point. Tendons. Cartiledge. Bursa. Joints. Blech.

June 6, 2008 at 12:38pmWell, considering the part of South Carolina I’m from, it could only be mustard-based. Yum! Thanks. You too!

June 6, 2008 at 1:56pmOh, you poor thing. I wish there was something I could do to help, but the thousand-miles-away thing makes it kind of unrealistic. I’ll be thinking about you! Take it easy, stop on the road for frequent breaks, and don’t overdo it at Soonercon.
