I’m scurrying about getting ready for ConQuesT, which starts next Friday. I’ve been cutting mats all weekend, and my thumbs are sore. (Ow.) I still need to print up the certificates of authenticity for the originals, and do the control sheets and bid sheets. And I’m still working on one more painting. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?
During the con, I’ve been scheduled to do a reading, an autographing, and an art workshop, and I’m on a panel — at the same time as the Yard Dog Road Show. I’m going to be one busy little camper. Yikes.
Fingers crossed, but I’m feeling better than I have for the past two ConQuesTs. With some luck and a little sleep, I might actually get to enjoy it this year.
I am, however, disappointed in the Kansas City Star. They didn’t run my calendar item about ConQuesT. Now that they’ve gotten their new printing plant up and running, there is actually LESS news in the paper. The weekend “Preview” section used to have pages and pages of calendar listings. Not any more. Gads. Perhaps they’ll actually run a notice next week, in time to generate some walk-in traffic on Saturday for the con.

That’s because I’m not coming out this year. đŸ˜›
Have a wonderful time, and tell Selina she owes me some goat cheese.
