I have elected not to participate in a con art show that I’ve been in for the past several years, for specific business reasons. In return for letting them know that I will not be needing space this year and the grounds on which I based my decision, I am receiving incredibly hateful emails containing personal attacks and other invectives… Given this response, I feel confident that I have made the right decision.
When I was young, I quickly gobbled up my local library’s small selection of science fiction, alphabetically: Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke…. Clarke passed yesterday, at the age of 90.
